MUSIC.
Lidia Rodriguez is a Bay Area Multi-woodwind Instrumentalist playing instruments from the flute to the baritone sax, and a few in between. She plays an extensive range of genres in bands all over California. With an early background in playing for Wind Ensembles, Orchestras, Musicals, Jazz Bands, and Salsa Bands Lidia uses her many woodwind skills to break the mold and play with more experimental and avant-garde collaborations. Recording for artist's album's such as SF Native Marinero, the ethereal singer Spellling and even scoring flute for Poet Yosimar Reyes with the Discos Resaca Collective. Although she plays heavily throughout California as a freelance musician she is also a main member of the band La Misa Negra, known for their unique blend of heavyweight cumbia and high-energy, Afro-Latin music. As well as a member of artist Madame Gandhi's band, known for her uplifting, percussive electronic music and positive message about gender liberation and personal power.
